The Measure of the Wound: A Sovereign Empirical Record of Black American Structural Distress, 1991–2024
“An eight-pillar empirical record of Black American structural disparity across 1991–2024, nested within federal series reaching back to 1900.”
About this paper
The Measure of the Wound assembles eight domains of Black American structural disparity — wealth, labor, housing, health, criminal justice, and political participation among them — into a single empirical record spanning 1991–2024, nested within federal series reaching to 1900 (health), 1925 (criminal justice), 1940 (housing), 1964 (political participation), and 1972 (labor).
The publication package includes the 101-page manuscript, a frozen snapshot of every raw federal source file the tables are built from, the reproducible typesetting pipeline, the recomputation log, a complete correction ledger (Appendix H), and the independent verification review with the author's response. Every figure is recomputed from the sealed sources; claims that could not be verified were struck or demoted through four successive forensic passes.
